10 surfaces you haven’t thought of to apply Wet & Forget to this Winter!

Wet & Forget is PH 8 which means you can apply it to any exterior surface to remove Moss, Mould, Lichen or Algae. You normally apply Wet & Forget to hard surfaces such as paths, driveways, sandstone or pavers. We have collaborated a list of more unusual surfaces below that you may not have thought about.

1. Lichen on trees

Wet & Forget can be applied to lichen on trees, the dilution rate is 1:7 (1 part Wet & Forget to 7 parts water). It can only be applied to deciduous trees and must be applied when the tree is dormant in winter.

2. Moss in your lawn

Firstly, lightly water the lawn but not enough to saturate the moss. Do this late in the day when the sun is low so that evaporation is kept to a minimum. Dilute the Wet & Forget 1:7 (1 part Wet & Forget to 7 parts water) and spot spray the moss. You may have to give it a couple of goes until you have it under control. At worst you may get slight burning on the grass but it will recover very quickly. Once the moss is dead and decomposed give your lawn a good fertilise ready for spring.

3. Mould or moss on your planter pots

Brush any dirt off the outside of the planter pot before applying your Wet & Forget. Use the normal dilution method of 1:5 (1 part Wet & Forget to 5 parts water) and spray onto the planter pot to give a good even coverage. If the pot is not out in the weather then give it a light hose now and again to help decompose the dead growth.

4. Mould on your family grave stones

Apply Wet & Forget in a spray bottle using the normal dilution method of 1:5 (1 part Wet & Forget to 5 parts water). Spray onto the surface and over time it will disappear.

5. Mould on your tennis court

The best time to apply Wet & Forget is in the morning or late afternoon to avoid excess evaporation. The entire court must be sprayed for an effective kill to take place even if the surface looks clean. For more in-depth instructions click here

6. Moss or mould on your glass house

Firstly cover your plants if you can or remove them to avoid any overspray. Spray the area with Wet & Forget using the normal dilution method of 1:5 (1 part Wet & Forget to 5 parts water).

7. Moss or mould on your downpipe

Spray the area with Wet & Forget using the normal dilution method of 1:5 (1 part Wet & Forget to 5 parts water).

8. Lichen on old car & Vintage plane

Wet & Forget has been used to successfully remove lichen off a DC-10 at Bankstown Aviation Museum. It has also been used on an old Mercedes Benz as well!

9. Stone statues, sculptures and sun dials

Spray the area with Wet & Forget using the normal dilution method of 1:5 (1 part Wet & Forget to 5 parts water).

10. Bird Bath

Empty your bird bath. Once it is dry spray the entire surface of the bird bath using the normal dilution rate of 1:5 (1 part Wet & Forget to 5 parts water). Once you have sprayed the surface wait a few days and give the inside of the bowl a good scrub with a brush then completely rinse the inside to remove and residue.
