Wet & Forget removes biological growth without damaging any exterior surface. It is environmentally friendly and biodegradable. Wet & Forget kills the biological growth within the first few hours of application and then the weather does the rest, slowly decomposing the dead growth over time.

If you have biological growth around your home and you are not quite sure what they are, we have listed the 4 most common biological growths below.

1. Moss
Moss is a green, carpet-like simple growth that can grow on a wide variety of outdoor surfaces. Moss usually grow in dense green clumps in shady damp locations. Mosses are commonly confused with Lichen, sometimes they may look similar but they are not related at all. Moss can be used in gardens for decorative purposes and in the right place can compliment landscapes. In the wrong place such as driveways, decks or fences Moss not only looks bad but can be dangerous. It can make these surfaces very slippery. This is the situation where Wet & Forget comes to the rescue.

2. Mould
Black mould has a protective capsule that gives it its dark colour and protects it from the sun, so that it can grow even in the sunniest areas, such as rooftops, paths and driveways. Black mould has a sooty grey or black appearance and can be solid in colour, or appear in streaks or patches. Although it is a growth, it tends to make the area look dirty. Black mould is tough to get rid of! Wet & Forget will kill the black mould and over time the dead growth will decompose leaving your surface clean. Once applied there is a residual left on the surface area that will help stop any premature regrowth.

3. Lichen
Lichen comes in many colours, sizes, and forms. The properties are sometimes plant-like, but lichens are not plants. They can survive in some of the most extreme environments on earth, from the arctic to the desert! Lichen is a scaly growth that can live on just about any outdoor surface. Lichen is very difficult to remove, and can cause pitting on many surfaces. Traditionally lichen was removed by scrubbing with bleach or waterblasting which can cause damage to surface areas, it’s messy and extremely time consuming. Most importantly, bleach and pressure cleaning do not kill the spores!! The safe, bleach free, easy way to treat and remove lichen is applying Wet & Forget. No scrubbing, No waterblastng, Wet & Forget does the hard work for you!!.

4. Algae
Green algae is a slimy smooth growth that can be found on any surface where there is moisture and indirect sunlight. Green algae likes to grow on the north side of your house, or on a shaded part of your deck, on your side path, or other areas that don’t get a lot of direct sunlight. If left untreated this can be hazardous and slippery especially if you are walking on it. Wet & Forget removes the algae easily.
