Clean Your Roof With Rapid Application

How much product will I need for a roof? (For the average 3 bedroom, single storey house)
2 x 5L Wet & Forget or 2 x 2L Rapid Application (you will get the same coverage from both products)
If you have lichen on your roof you will need 3 x 5L Wet & Forget or 3 x 2L Rapid Application (needs 2 applications to penetrate the lichen)

Helpful Hints:

  • Total saturation of the surface with this product is essential in order to obtain a good kill of the moss, mould, lichen, algae and fungi.
  • Make sure the surface is dry in order to get the best penetration of the growth with the least amount of evaporation.
  • If you have lichen, spot spray the lichen, leave for 15-20 minutes and then respray the lichen and the entire roof to ensure the lichen absorbs the Wet & Forget thoroughly.
  • Then allow the surface to weather naturally and nature will take its course. The growth decomposes while the rain gently removes it from the surface over time.
  • Your roof will normally take between 6-12 months to come clean.
  • After intial application use as a maintenance tool. Only re-apply at the first sign of regrowth.

Important:

You cannot use regular Wet & Forget® 5L (blue) with the Rapid Application® Sniper Nozzle. It will NOT work!

  • The active ingredients are the same but the dilutions are different.
  • Coverage of 100-300 sq metres is exactly the same for both products.
  • Common coverage is about 100-150 sq metres when used on ‘absorbent’ porous surfaces.

How to Clean Your Roof Using Rapid Application®

How to Remove Lichen on Roofs
with either Wet & Forget® 5L Concentrate or Rapid Application®

  1.  Visually, section your roof off into areas.
  2.  Spot spray the lichen within each section.
  3.  Leave for 15-20 mins (while it is still damp).
  4.  Then respray the lichen and the entire roof area of that particular section to ensure the lichen absorbs the Wet & Forget thoroughly.
  5.  The first application is to dissolve the waxy surface. The second spray will then penetrate into the lichen.

If you are on Tank Water
  1.  Disconnect the water supply to your tank to avoid any chance of contamination.
  2.  You need at least 10mm of rain or 2 good downpours before you reconnect.
  3.  Check before reconnecting that the water is NOT foaming.
